ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER©
Paul’s painting shows a beautiful piece of nature. A quiet place for contemplation and prayer. Jesus chose such a spot to pray on the night before His death. These last few days of Holy Week are filled with sadness, grief, humility and obedience. Jesus accepted His mission and was about to follow through with it. His humanity is shown in the tear He shed. He experience every human emotion, but His divinity shows through His unconditional love for us.
Though fears assail and haunt me, my Jesus will be there,
He knows my every weakness, He feels my every care,
Through valleys dark He leads me, He’s always at my side,
To waters still He guides me, refreshment He’ll provide,
Wherever life should lead me, my soul is in His hand,
He never will desert me, on this great hope I stand,
Through triumph and defeat, He knows just how I feel,
He gives me so much hope when at His cross I kneel.
Our time on earth is short, our days are numbered here,
But with His precious love, eternity is near.
Dear Jesus, be with me as through this life I go,
Help me to share your love, with those who need to know.

Amen. Kathy, your poetry complements Paul’s tranquil setting. Even as His final earthly hours approach, Jesus is teaching and guiding faith beyond the approaching darkness at Calvary. May we embrace the peace He sets aside for every believer.
