ART AND POETRY BY PAUL AND KATHY BOECHER©
A blast of frigid air returns, the sky explodes with snow,
We don our hats and mittens. Our steps are very slow,
We barely see, our noses freeze, our cheeks soon turn bright red,
The streets are filled with winter white, our cars won’t start – they’re dead,
We realize today is Sunday, and we’ve no place to go,
We trudge back in and hunker down and simply let it snow.
Winters in MInnesota are totally unpredictable. One day the temperature is nearing 50. The next day, snow covers everything, creating a winter wonderland . . . again! I’m really not complaining. I’m old. I don’t have to shovel anymore. I have a live-in shoveler. I don’t have to go anywhere, because church has been cancelled. Who would think the weather would deter us from worship? Anyway, here it is, another winter reminder that it’s not dead yet. Neither am I. So, instead of attending church, I’ll open a book of devotions, think about baking something and take a nap.
About atimetoshare.me
As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension.
I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog.
I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ.
My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

It really is beautiful to see fresh white snow covering the mess underneath. Spring is anticipated with hope for new life. Winter gives us God’s washing of redemption.

We are getting ready for winter cold again too…everything is blooming, the butterflies, and bees are out…we will see what remains Wednesday morning, but I know life will rise again! God appoints the seasons, our calendars are a poor attempt to measure them

Love when God takes care of us and gives us our personal Snow Day off from life’s obligations! And yes, winter has a way other letting us know who the real boss is. “I’m not done yet.” Ha, ha.
