SUNDAY POSITIVE THOUGHTS. . .

ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER©

The Como Conservatory in St. Paul, MN is a location that Paul enjoyed painting plein air. The building itself is beautiful inside and out. Flowers and plants fill the area and transform one season into the next. My mind has been on flowers lately. I am excited for Spring to come alive and shower us with new growth and promise. This painting might seem like a mass of colorful blotches, but Paul transformed them into a thing of beauty.

As the clocks are set ahead an hour, we might feel a little confused at first, but we get used to change and adapt. That is part of God’s plan for us. He has conquered the evil that sifts through the cracks of every day. He brings light into darkness and gives us hope for a future life in eternity. That promise is what makes life exciting and endurable. We have something to look forward to, yet we also have something right now. God is working through each of us. He dwells in our hearts and minds and gets us through the difficulties of each day. Change is something we can embrace rather than try to fight it. We adapt through God’s amazing grace.

Encased with brush and branches, a refuge holds you tight,

The world is far away, you’re hidden from its sight,

The fear you hold inside, adrenaline excites,

But comfort still you harbor there,  it holds you from your fright,

So quiet you remain at bay, hanging on with all your might,

The clouded, purple skies of heaven turn into endless night,

He knows your every move.  From heaven sees your plight,

You know you can’t hide forever.  Your dreams fade and lose delight,

He sent His Son to save you and take away sin’s bite,

He changes hearts and minds.  He’s turned dark into light,

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

  1. Love that painting! It’s good to think about flowers, birds, colors, all the beauty in nature, it’s a relief from all the ugliness of hate, Jesus is our sure refuge that’s more than a temporary escape. The world makes my ears ache…the only sanity I can find is in the Bible

I love all the colors. I know what you mean about ears aching. We need to keep encouraging each other. The end times are coming especially for those who remain. Those who have gone before us have already received the peace of God. Thanks for commenting.

  2. Kathy, this post shares such positive thoughts. Paul’s enthusiasm plays out with God’s blessed grace. His Word guides His painting’s interpretation just as it offers light for your own devotional reflections and poetry. Thanks so much for sharing the Good News.
