As this week has progressed and we’ve become slaves to the health care system, I can’t help but think about the One who saves us all. We put our faith in the professionals when it comes to fixing our cars – repairing broken teeth – creating a work of art – entertaining us – healing our bodies, but for the inside of us there is only one Savior. He gave up everything so that we could live with Him in Eternal Glory.
Life is fragile at any age, but it seems as we grow older the ability to break becomes more evident. Our medical system is broken. I know they do everything they can to help us, but the technology and business end of it has fallen short of what it used to be. Very often, we wait for answers – for tests to be done – more waiting – scheduling – waiting again. Gone are the days when a doctor would make a house call. Today we are referred to the ER before even seeing one.
I thank God today, that He sent His only Son to take care of every detail of our lives. We can make it through the testing, the waiting, the scheduling, the disappointments, the difficulties with the assurance that God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is with us. His love endures forever, and He will provide the answers we need when we need them. Our tears won’t stop. Our broken hearts will continue. Our future plans will be put on hold, but we can depend on the One who saves us. While we wait, we pray. Our family prays along with our friends. The voices of those prayers are heard by our omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent God. Thank you for your prayers.

The “Healthcare System” today isn’t really. It’s a sick care system. Healthcare is primarily preventive and emergency intervention. Unfortunately, we’re not really taught enough about preventive maintenance on ourselves and too few of us think to make good, healthy choices before we end up “slaves” to the “sickcare” system that really only see us as numbers on a sheet and bucks in their pockets.

I am beginning to realize the truth in your words. Please pray that God intervenes, and we get the answers we need to plan for the future. Both my husband and I are 81 years old. We know where we’re going when we die. Our bodies wear out and break down as we get old and we know the outcome, but we aren’t afraid to die. We just want to put our lives in order. God will help us with all those things.

May you and Paul have supernatural favor as you navigate the healthcare system. May the peace that passes all understanding guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

I use the “health-care” system as I’ve had a couple of cancers already and yet, my trust has always seemed to be in God’s provision, no matter what. Sue has leukemia, under control the last 12 years, but we know that when the Bible says “it’s appointed on to man to die once . . . .,” that time schedule is in God’s hands and He will allow us to fulfill the purposes He has called us to do. You might be a few years older, but with the Lord, who knows, we might have a grand reunion at any time Sis. You and Paul are in our prayers daily! God Bless for ALL of your inspiration and encouragement!

I so appreciate your kindness. Paul has a ton of health issues. He had prostate cancer about 15 years ago. He’s now had two strokes, needs a new heart valve and has an aneurysm on his brain. He is a tough old bird and each time he’s in the hospital he spends time talking to the staff about Jesus. We’re trusting on God’s plan for our lives. Thanks for the prayers too.❤️
