BESIDE STILL WATERS

You lead me to the waters still, you fill my soul and quench my thirst,

You guide me through the paths unknown, you’re with me at my best and worst,

In valleys green you watch my steps, and carry me when I can’t walk,

You treasure me in every way, you’re there to speak when I can’t talk.

If water carries me away, I’ll live to fight another day,

With confidence I know full well, you’ll never leave me when I stray,

You love me with a love unknown, my heart is filled with you alone,

And when I die my comfort is that you have crushed my heart of stone.

As this life ebbs and death appears, I know that I am not yet done,

You have prepared a place for me, a perfect room above the sun,

Where I will live eternally in peace and love forever more,

The gate to Heaven opens wide and you will guide me through the door.

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

“The gate to Heaven opens wide and you will guide me through the door.” He said, “I go to prepare a place…and if I go I will come again to receive you unto myself.” A great promise!

There are days when I can’t wait for that promise to be fulfilled and others when I feel like he still has work for me to do here. I’ll trust in His unfailing love.

Your words are so beautiful and full of truth and promise. The scenery and Paul’s painting is just perfect for this promise! ❤
