It was September 26, 1964. Strange things were happening around our house. My dad had put the newspaper in the refrigerator and thrown his shoes down the clothes chute. Mom was acting like a giddy school girl and my sister was showing new admiration for me – undoubtedly because I would soon be gone and she’d be inheriting my room.
It was the day I married my best friend forever. In these days it’s quite an accomplishment to be married to the same person for so many years, but I guess I always knew that it would be a lifelong commitment. I am thankful that God has always been a part of our lives. He is the cement that glues us together.
Mark 10:8-9 “and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” Thank you, Lord for the love of my life. Without him I would be incomplete.
