WHY ME?

5254bd8d6f446a197cdaff9dcdab912d

Everything that happens in our lives is for a purpose. The purpose isn’t always made known to us, but if you believe in an all knowing, ever present and all powerful God, you can be confident that He has your best interests always at the forefront.

No matter what your age, you can find great comfort in the fact that God is always in control.  Even when we think we know better than He does, He’s still patient with us.  He continues to put up with our defiant behavior.  He allows us to make mistakes, yet He’s there to pick us up when we fail.

We may have convinced ourselves that we’re the only ones who have ever gone through difficult times.  We feel that God has something against us and isn’t listening to our prayers anyway.  This is when we need Him the most.

If you spend just a few minutes every day, you’re sure to find at least one miracle in your life.  How about the weather?  How about the beautiful children you’ve created?  How about the roof over your head?  How about a spouse that loves you?  How about a God that has sacrificed everything for you?

The flashy movie kind of miracles don’t always happen, but if we search hard enough, we can find those too.  How about the Christmas bonus you received just in time to buy Christmas gifts for your children?  How about the storm that skirted just past your house and saved you thousands of dollars in repairs?  How about the hyper-active child who discovered they could channel their energy into music, art or drama?

When you feel like the world is collapsing in on you, when you can’t seem to pull yourself out of depression, when things are spinning out of control, turn to God.  His power will calm even the vilest storm.  His mercy will be showered on you.  His consistency will give you hope.  His love will never fail.

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

  1. Thanks for writing that. I’m a worrier and my husband’s always telling me that God hasn’t brought us this far to forsake us. And though I know that sometimes when I life is going a million miles an hour and so many different it’s hard to see that.
It’s so wonderful to see all the encouraging and inspirational posts on here!

I have been accused by my husband of being a worrier too. Maybe I write this stuff to encourage myself. It is good to know that God never changes in spite of the things that occur in our lives. Thanks for reading. BTW I think God placed a little worry in every woman’s heart.

Amen! Blessings and mircales are all around us most of them we take for vantage, but when we slow down we will see God’s hand on and in them. ~ Blessings ~
