I can’t help wondering how my guardian angel is doing.  I’ve lived for over seventy years and given that angel a run for his money.  I’m convinced he earns his wings over and over every day.  I imagine him to look pretty beat up from fending off the dangers that often beset me.  His hair is most likely completely fried or he doesn’t have any.  He has bags under his bloodshot eyes.  His hands tremble more than mine do and he definitely needs a chiropractor.

I do believe that God sends His angels to watch over us and that they sometimes appear to us in human form.  We might see them on a street corner, begging for money.  They could be knocking on our front door to tell us our house is on fire.  They might be there at just the moment when your at the end of your rope financially or spiritually. Many times we turn away and ignore them.

Mine has protected me through many difficulties.  There was the time I drove my car home with a broken axle.  I even turned a corner without it falling apart.  There was the time we had no money for Christmas presents and very little for food and someone placed a package of frozen beef on our car while my husband’s boss wrote a bonus check for my husband – the only one written that year.  There was the time when I felt my life drifting away as my blood pressure put me into shock.  When it seemed that we might not find a place to live, a friend provided a home for us

I could go on and on about all the times when we’ve been smiled upon by God and His angels, but it would take a whole book to cover them.  The point is that we never know when we might meet one.

Not only are we given God’s protection through His angels, we are brothers and sisters of the King of the Angels – Jesus.  WOW!

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on

Thank God for guardian angels. I could imagine seeing one placing his hand in front of my car while another was running a red light. Tires screeching, the smell of burning rubber, my car coming to a dead stop…i did not even notice the other car. I knew my brakes were not that good, the other car trying to stop but couldn’t and didn’t…just kept going. I knew what had just happened. My daughters were in shock…yes…I still believe that was an angel of God. There have been other times, but that one incident always reminds me of the awesomeness of the God I serve. Thank you for reminding me. Be blessed.

  2. Lol. I can see your beat up angel and it made me wonder what mine may look like. He’s probably in worse shape than me. I keep him busy. Gooood post Kathy. 😀

I wonder if they have their own rest home in heaven. Probably call it Heaven’s Home for Weary Angels. Thanks for the compliment.😃
