If we were to focus too much on the events in the news, it wouldn’t take long for us to need treatment for depression.  Our world is in a terrible state.  Our own country is in moral decline; the world is constantly fighting terrorists; there are those seeking  political power driven only by greed and our media continues to paint a picture that all is well.  It makes one wonder where it will all end .

We could be like Chicken Little who ran through the barnyard claiming that the sky was falling.  The rest of the animals at first were frightened by her claims, but soon ignored her when the sky continued to stay where it was supposed to. The moral of the story is not to believe everything you hear, unless it’s backed up with some kind of proof or evidence.

We as Christians have a true story that we can depend on.  Our world will someday come to an end.  We have all sinned and don’t deserve anything but death and damnation.  God, the Father loves us so much that He became a man – lived a perfect life – suffered a horrendous death – was buried – came back to life and rose to heaven.  He sent His Holy Spirit to live in and with us so we could share His love. We have been promised a new heaven and a new earth and we can be assured of eternal life.  He did all of this because He loves us. That’s a story you can trust and believe.

Dear, Lord, you provide us comfort and hope in all our circumstances.  Your Word contains your truth for our daily lives and for the life to come.  You are indeed our rock and cornerstone.  Thank you for giving me peace in that knowledge.

“Remember your word to your servant in which you have made me hope.
This is my comfort in my affliction, that your promise gives me life.”  Psalm 119:49-50

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.
