As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

AGING DOESN’T HAVE TO MEAN DEATH
Lots of people look at age as a sign of weakness, deterioration and imminent death. Some cultures place age in a special category because of the wisdom a person has acquired in his life. In America, we tend to admire … Continue reading
TURN IT OVER
There’s no doubt about it. We live in a crummy world. We can choose to make a difference, to change things, to sit around and fret about it, to hide ourselves from it or we can rid ourselves of the … Continue reading
THE HEART OF THE CHURCH

A NEW MESSAGE

WHAT, ME WORRY?
Many years ago, a now familiar character appeared on the cover of Mad Magazine. He was created by a versatile commercial artist named Norman Mingo. This man had worked for many years in the comic book industry. His name isn’t … Continue reading
WAS IT WORTH THE COST?
A large crowd had gathered in the little town of Bethany. Only a few days earlier the man named Lazarus had been returned to life by the Rabbi, Jesus. Everyone was talking about it and wanted to see the man … Continue reading
DID HE COME TOO LATE?
Mary and Martha were Lazarus’ sisters and all of them called Jesus their friend. He’d been a guest in their home. Mary couldn’t get enough of His words and Martha was more concerned that the house was in order and … Continue reading
ARE WE THERE YET?
How many times have we heard that question? Are we there yet? I recall many family vacations in which that phrase wore on my brain. The constant gnawing of, “are we there yet,” was like the swingng pendulum from Edgar … Continue reading
PETER’S MOTHER-IN-LAW
“And when Jesus entered Peter’s house, he saw his mother-in-law lying sick with a fever.” Matthew 8:14 Jesus had chosen Peter to be His first disciple and obviously had a special connection with him – so much so, that He … Continue reading
SHE GAVE HER LAST CENT

MIRACULOUS HEALING

SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST

MARY HAD A BABY
She was just a simple girl – nothing special – not without sin. She was like us, yet God chose her to carry His very own Son for nine months in her womb. She would also hold His dead body … Continue reading
ASH WEDNESDAY
In Luke 22, where I left off on my Advent study, we find the events leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus. It begins with the preparation for the Passover meal, continues as Judas betrays the Son of God, Peter … Continue reading
HE’S ALWAYS THERE
We go through life with goals that seem insurmountable, only to find we’ve already obtained them. We look at what our friends, neighbors or co-workers have and covetousness might fill our hearts. We sometimes desire that which is way beyond … Continue reading
THE POWER OF CHRIST
I don’t know why God allows some of us to go on living for so many years and others are taken at an early age. It is one of those mysteries that don’t make sense to me. I do know … Continue reading
PONDER THEM IN YOUR HEART
“But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart.” When I was little I thought the word ponder meant to pound. In a child’s mind it made perfect sense for Mary to treasure the things that were … Continue reading
