The news of this past weekend has everyone on edge. We need something to soothe our souls and give us comfort. Instead of blaming, shaming, getting angrier, losing it, falling apart or giving up, I’m starting the week with a small gallery of watercolor paintings by Paul and a short poem by me. Our hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. Remember that God is in control, no matter how we mess things up.

His hand can change a simple brook into a raging ocean,

His arm extends across the sea and with His voice it opens,

He fills the waters with abundance of living things,

He feeds the creatures with the food He brings,

He takes a seed – it furrows in the ground,

With water fresh the seed will soon abound,

With life and food to nourish and enjoy,

He does this with the power He does employ,

With beauty that delights and satisfies,

With love He opens up the skies,

He pours His light on those below,

He shelters them so they will know,

That God is in His heaven and all is well,

For He has rescued us from living hell.

THANK YOU, JESUS, FOR ANOTHER DAY TO PROCLAIM YOUR VICTORY OVER DEATH. THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE THE GOOD NEWS WITH OTHERS AND REMIND US THAT YOU HAVE CONTROL OVER ALL THINGS!
