ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER
These two paintings were part of a collection of animal paintings Paul did for his grandchildren. The thing I like most about them is the eyes. They seem to be staring right at me. Looking at someone face to face and eye to eye has become a lost art. I look into the eyes of my great grandson, and he still has the ability to look right back at me. I find him often staring right into my eyes too. This basic tool of communication is one that requires the use of our eyes. When it comes to our prayers and talking intimately with our God, we don’t have the benefit of that gift. Someday we will see Him face to face. Oh, what a glorious day that will be.
I look into your eyes and what do I see?
Am I the sweet reflection that you wanted me to be?
I know that you are wise in all that you do.
I can’t begin to realize how little I know you.
I know that love me as your own dear child.
You’ve spread your grace upon me with your Son, most undefiled.
When death comes near, to end my days, I won’t fear.
I’ll see you face to face that day and see your eyes so clear.
The world is dark, you bring the light of your Son,
You’ve taken all my sins away. Perfection has been won.
I tend to sing this song to those close to seeing their Savior’s face. Oh, what a day that will be indeed!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uu4_Xu6amJ0

Beautiful! …and those paintings; the eyes were the first thing that caught my attention. They seem to be filled with so much love and peace.

Such a blessed post! Our Father has planned out a welcome place for each saint to experience His light face to face. Amen. God’s peace be with you Kathy.

Face to face…see your eyes so clear! Oh, Mama K. I’ve never seen these paintings before. How precious! I love the eyes, too! Your words, Paul’s paintings—the perfect pair always. Thank you, God, for your light!
I love you Mama K.
Due to my new treatment, ER trip, dr’s visits, and tests I’ve been absent so much. My youngest son and family (and more family) are coming tomorrow for a week. Please know I love you and pray for your daily and hold you in my heart Please take care.

Iām glad to hear that you will be with family for the next week. Some days those times can be very complex and often create tension, but I believe family is number one after God. They can be a source of strength and healing – they can drive us crazy at times – but having them active in our lives is so important. I am very close to my youngest daughter. Perhaps itās because she has lived close to us and was the last to leave the nest. She married right out of high school and it ended after two years. When she married the second time I prayed that God would bless their lives together. Of our three children she is most like me. They are the parents of our granddaughter who had a baby 8 months ago. Theyāre all living in the same house. Families support each other not just monetarily but also spiritually. Iāve been blessed with a man who gave me three children and proved to be a great day. I pray every day for each of them. I hurt when I see them making foolish choices. I feel bad when the hurt. Iām delighted when things are going well for them and I grow sad when they are sad. In other words, we canāt choose our families but we can choose to be loyal to them – concerned for their welfare – give Godly advice – love them. This will be our first Fathers Day without Paul. Like all the other firsts I know it will make me sad, but then Iāll remember what a great dad he was and how he gave his kids the best gift possible. The knowledge of their Savior and the grace of a loving God.
Keep your family close even when they are far away. They know you better than you think they do. They love you and want you to be well and happy. Treasure each of those times together, and hang on to the memories forever. I love you, sweet Karla. I know you are in Godās hands. I pray for healing and that Godās will is done. Never give up. He still has work for you to doš„° MAMA K
