ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER

This little gem fell into my lap today. An original Paul Boecher watercolor presented to me eight years ago by the artist on my birthday. Paul almost always gifted me with art on special days. As I think about Mother’s Day coming soon, I thank God for the man who made me a mom. Each special occasion reminds me of him. I will love him forever.

I see your face within my dreams.

It never leaves my aching heart.

I hear you voice, at least it seems.

In quiet whispers you impart.

As time goes by I can’t erase?

The loss I feel from dawn ’til dark,

And then the tears run down my face.

The sobs then come to make their mark.

As days fly by I turn to God.

Knowing full well that He is there ,

To dry my tears, as on I trod.

He walks me home so we can share . . .

THE JOYOUS GIFT OF HEAVEN!

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

You two made quite the artistic team–Paul with his paints and brushes, you with your pens and paper (or computer!). You are a wonderful example to us, Cathy, celebrating the memories and blessings of the past even as you grieve.

Aww thank you so much Nancy. Sharing these thoughts had been therapeutic for me. If it helps someone going through similar situations, that’s a bonus.

  3. What beautiful gifts from God you both possess. Paul’s art, your words, they compliment each other and you both honor God with your gifts. This poem made tears well up. I feel your tender, hurting heart and through your grief you still hold to God’s promises. May God bless and keep you Kathy. Loved this.
