TURNING OLD INTO NEW . . .

ART & INSPIRATION FROM PAUL & KATHY BOECHER

Some of the smaller river towns in Wisconsin and Minnesota were thriving communities at their start. Much of the lumber industry relied on these rivers to transport their products from the north woods to the larger mills along the way. Paul loved painting in these quaint little towns. Mainly because many of the original structures are still there. They’ve been upgraded of course, but are still beautiful in their architecture and a reminder of the past.

The shop in this painting is a sampling of how old can often be restored and reused. Today, Coco Bello is an interior design company which also turns old into new. We walk this earth and our bodies are used, overused and abused to the point of very little hope for renovation. However, we continue to trust in God’s promise, even when we’re falling apart. His promise that even when our hair turns gray and our bones dry up, we will be restored into new bodies. No more pain. No sadness or depression. No worries, anxiety or fear. Death has no power over us, because God’s own Son made it possible for those who believe in Him, to reach heaven by His merit alone. There is no greater love than that which God pours on His people. When he looks at us, he no longer sees a sinner, but His own sinless Son.

Days of our lives go swiftly by. We travel this world for a while.

We walk without fear we leap and try, but soon we lose our smile.

The tests make us weary and sad. The cost seems too great to go on.

We start to feel useless and bad. The melody slips from our song.

Still, God walks beside us each day. He knows that our struggle is great.

So, trust Him to chart every way. To guide you to heaven, just wait.

His love is sublime, He treasures your time, His love is so pure, He had to endure.

The pain of a cross, to carry our loss. When He looks at you. You know it’s true.

Your sins are as white as the snow. To heaven you surely will go.

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.
