HOPE ON A HILL . . .

ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER©

This painting was completed in 1989 by Paul Boecher after returning from a hunting trip in Oregon. He was not here when his mother passed, but in what appeared to be a heavenly valley in the mountains. That picture remained in his mind until he reached home. It now resides in a church office at King of Grace Lutheran Church in Golden Valley. The title of the painting is “Heaven is my Home,” and truly conveys the beauty waiting for all the believers that trust that they will be there someday.

Sumptuous views from an old stone bridge, meeting the dawn of day,

Crossing the waters on the river’s edge, wishing that you could stay,

A quiet town from days gone by is kissed by the morning sun,

Painting the landscape and the sky, with colors one by one,

Valleys and hills do here abound – memories of days long past,

Peace and contentment can be found, but none of it will last,

Our only hope is Christ, the Lord, who bled upon a hill,

Suffered and died to keep His Word, followed His Father’s will,

But then He rose to life again, He conquered death that day,

Eternal life for us did win, He took our sins away.

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

Mama K, This may be my favorite painting of Paul’s and poem of yours. Everything about our love, hope, and faith is evident in both. Just as Paul knew that his mom is in her heavenly home, you know that of Paul. This touched my heart and soul deeply this morning. What a blessed way to start my week. I love you dearly, Mama K. God bless you and keep you. ❤️🙏
