HAPPY RENEW YEAR . . .

I have ongoing issues with my phone, especially when I’m trying to type a message.  Usually I hit the wrong key and spell check changes the word completely and makes me look like a complete idiot to the one receiving my message.  This morning as I was getting ready to write my post for the day, I was going to title it “Happy New Year.”  I hit the R before the word new and it became Renew Year.  I decided to go with it.

When we look back on the year we’re about to close, we may think of all the promises we made to ourselves, the goals we set, the unfulfilled dreams and heartbreaks.  As we approach the beginning of a new year, we may set new goals for ourselves and think of things we want to improve on.  Maybe that diet that you started in November, which quickly got lost during Thanksgiving week and completely destroyed during Christmas, can be restarted.  Maybe the closet can be weeded out or the deep down cleaning you promised yourself you’d do, will get done.  Maybe you’ll finally get organized.

In any event, if we put a RE before NEW we have real hope for whatever we do.  We ask God to:

Renew His presence in our lives –

To revive our zeal for Him –

To restore our relationship with Him –

To rebuild relationships with others –

To recapture the things we set aside –

To reclaim our birthright as sons and daughters of God,

To reaffirm our allegiance to getting into His Word,

To remember the cost paid for our redemption,

To relay that message to others,

To regain what has always been there for us.

As we look forward, let’s not think so much about the mistakes and blunders of 2024, but more about the possibilities that lay ahead in 2025.  They are endless when we put our faith in God, the Father, Creator of all things – His precious Son, who took on human flesh, lived and died in our place and rose again as we also will – His Holy Spirit, the light within us, planted there at our baptism, to keep us on His path.,

“And suns grow meek, and the meek suns grow brief, and the year smiles as it draws near its death.” William Cullen Bryant

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

I think a year of renewal is wonderful. Like I worry about the weather…inside the house…we have a new furnace and everything is fine but when you are home…I love 30s and 40s but when it gets in the teens, forget it. That is my new goal….stupid. Stop!

God is in control is my daily mantra. There is nothing I can do without Him. He has it all planned out before it ever happens. God’s blessings to you in the new year❤️

“As we look forward…” Such is the outlook of all who are “kept by the power of God”.

“forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark…”

Though this mortal body decays and declines the hope of our resurrection in Him burns brighter “unto the perfect day.”

    Our true satisfaction comes…

“As for me, I will behold Thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with Thy likeness.” Psalm 17:15

May the decay of our life here prepare us for a bright and eternal morning there!

Thanks for those words of encouragement. I don’t know how people manage to get through life without thanksgiving comfort. Heaven is our home.
