APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS

ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER©

A haze entrenched sky,

Sprinkles a minute amount of light,

Upon the mighty river’s edge,

Capturing reflections,

Dispensing shadows,

Displaying an array of natural color,

The remnant of a fallen tree rests frozen in a mass of crystal shards,

But today is a new beginning as each day should be,

Today the waters have returned,

God’s finger has opened them,

The first of May,

Transition time.

Time to sweep out the cobwebs of winter,

To lift the veil of anticipation.

And look ahead,

To days of warmth,

Rapture,

Lazy days of summer

To reach heights never dreamed of,

To find renewal,

To live.

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

      • Getting my garden in and we had a death in the family, my daughter-in-law’s dad. The weather has been beautiful and it’s hard to stay in and write. At night, I’ve just been too tired.

Glad you’re OK. Sorry for your loss. It’s just now beginning to look like spring here

      • It’s starting to feel more like summer here. Spring comes early in the Ozark. Iris and big orange poppies are blooming now and so many other beautiful flowers that I don’t know the name of lol I have a lot to learn.

Both of my daughter-in-laws are orphans now. A very hard thing for them. Thank you for caring.

Your title was the theme of my church fellowship today. The inner circle of the prayer warriors meets once a month to update the prayer list, but we have refreshments first. I wanted to focus of May flowers. I had two huge plastic blossoms on a tray as a centerpiece and little blossoms scattered over the table, but I had no refreshments. I went by a bakery on my way to church and the table, just inside the front door had mini-cupcakes with roses and daisies in a butter creme frosting on top. They said I made them look bad, but really, it was prayer and God answering the prayer. Like, right away answers.
