TAKING A BREAK . . .

I don’t know about the rest of you, but there comes a time when we all need a break from the normal. Because life has kind of gotten in the way of living, I’ve decided to take a little vacation from writing my blog each day. Some of you will be relieved to have me gone. Some might miss the things I have to say. Others will find other blogs to follow. The point is, when you’re in the business of trying to encourage, lift up, inspire and sending out God’s message of truth, it can be exhausting.

Many of you are suffering from depression. Some are anxious about the way our world is turning. I know there are those struggling with health issues, their faith, their losses and hopes for the future. There are those who need a hug and a word of empathy or compassion. Since Ash Wednesday and the season of Lent begins to unfold, I thought this would be an appropriate time to take a break.

Jesus gives us words to live with each day. You can find them in His word, the Bible. He is the giver of hope and truth. He will lift you up when no one else can. He gave up His heavenly throne and took on human flesh, so we could have eternal life. He leaves us with this message of peace.

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will

have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 ESV

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

You are right, Kathy. So many of us are exhausted and are struggling with our own health challenges as well…and still we desire to send out God’s Word daily. But at some point, I think God says to us. “Cease your pouring out, so that I might pour into you!” So I Will miss you, in your absence, and while the Lord is refreshing and restoring you.😘
Blessings to You, Paul, and the Fam🙏🏾

The rest is as vital as the work – “He restoreth my soul…”

Mama K, you know I will miss you. I’m typing this as I’m sitting for the first time in a long Mondays, able to write AND read. I’m so proud of you. You are always POURING out to us. POURING out to your husband and family. May HE POUR INTO YOU as you find rest. You deserve it. I’ve had much time of rest and healing. There are days I can’t write or read. I love you so much. I love Paul, too. I’ll be gone for two weekends and then off to Maryland for my follow up. Please know I pray every morning for you and Paul. And that will not cease. I’ll try not to bother you by email; but you will be in my heart. And so many others. May you be FILLED UP with the love and rest you deserve. Much love always. ❤️❤️❤️🙏

You’re welcome. I’m glad to know you’re getting a break. I’m very happy I got to “see” you today. My next treatment is Feb. 29th–my blood pressure was too high last week when my Mom went with me–insurance denied the newest treatment. In many ways, I was thankful. It gave me days to get stronger as it’s been 21 straight months of either chemo, radiation, the surgery–but I’m THANKFUL. I don’t wish to complain! As you and Paul know well, it’s an arduous journey and that’s why you both inspire me so much. I have a writing mission. Not knowing how everything will “look” after my scans (I’m calling dr today to set up PET scan), I want to take advantage of every good hour. I wish I lived closer to you both–I’d “pour” into you by helping you both while I can! I’m praying and will not stop!!❤️❤️🙏🙏 I will want to hear updates as well!!

  13. I always recall the saying “a change us as good as a rest”. They are refreshing, but sometimes, a recharge of our batteries is needed. Enjoy your break
