As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. My mother insisted that Thanksgiving be a family gathering time. No one messed with her plans. I was only excused when I was in Germany in the Army. But with grandchildren and great-grandchildren, there wasn’t room at the table. My niece, full grown, had to sit at the kiddie table. Then my Dad put his woodworking skills together and built a table for everyone (never to leave the room. It was too big.) And he shaped duplicate Queen Anne chairs. My niece’s comment was…”Hey, Wait a minute! I wanted a special graduation celebration, but now everybody can sit at the table! Not fair!”
