THE HARVEST

encouraging-quote-8l

Like any gardener or farmer, I often grow impatient.   I want to see results within days of my planting. I soon remember that in this blogging world of ours, there are many seeds being planted each day.  The seeds don’t just pop out of the ground and become healthy, thriving, productive plants.  The process is slow and takes nurturing and tender care.

I know that I have a problem being patient.  I also have a problem with my confidence.  The devil likes to take advantage of those weaknesses and often puts weeds in my garden to choke out the seeds before they even have a chance to germinate.  I then realize that I am merely the seed thrower.  I don’t really have anything to do with the process once the seed is sown.  The rest is up to the Creator of all things living – God alone.

Lord, remind me that I am just the sower, scattering the seeds of your truth.  Your Spirit does the big stuff.  All I want is to let others know the joy I’ve experienced through your saving grace.  Amen!

Take my life and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in endless praise.

Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee.

Take my voice and let me sing,
Always, only for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee.

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.
