“The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be.” Anne Frank
Anne Frank’s quote invites us to find a quiet place to be alone with the heavens, nature and God. When fear strikes or troubles take you to a dark place, you are never really alone. Jesus has promised to be with us through this life and in eternity. We do not need to be afraid.
“Don’t be afraid,” is a common phrase used in the Bible. When angels came to the shepherds on that first Christmas, the words carried amazement, joy, fear and a whole gamut of emotions. I’m not sure how many times this phrase is actually used in God’s Word, but it seems to me that He knows the plans He has already established for us. He is aware of every difficulty we might face in our future. Because of that, He tells us to be still; not to worry; that He is in control. Even with that truth, it’s hard for us not to be afraid.
We hang on to the idea that we can handle our fears and anxiety. We put extra pressure on ourselves every time we think that way. We succumb to our weakness and fall. That’s when the real anxiety begins. We feel like a failure. The truth is that we can’t do this alone. We ARE afraid and we need someone to help us. Someone to hold us. To feel the strength of that person’s arms. To feel safe.
God’s love for us is never ending. Time with Him is well spent. He can carry any problem that comes to us. He will lead us through all difficulty, even when we resist Him. He answers our prayers for deliverance and guides us according to His perfect plan. Even when we are old and gray, we can feel safety, peace, comfort and love in the arms of Jesus.
PRAISE GOD FOR GIVING US THE VICTORY OVER DEATH – THANK YOU, FATHER GOD, FOR GIVING US YOUR SON. HE TAKES AWAY ALL OUR SORROW, GRIEF, FEAR AND ANXIOUS MOMENTS.
THANK YOU, JESUS, FOR ANOTHER DAY!

I regularly need “nature time” and I am blessed to have it close at hand.
