DEVIL’S HIDING PLACE . . .

ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER©

The devil is not limited to one place on our planet. He is free to make his bed in all sorts of habitats. We tend to think of certain landmarks, like the one pictured in this colored pencil drawing Paul did at Devil’s Tower. We imagine these unusual ominous places would only be a suitable place for Satan to reside. The truth is that he is not limited. He lurks about in the most unexpected locations. Most of the time we don’t even realize he’s there. Fortunately, our heavenly Father had a plan to defeat this evil one. The plan included our salvation and assured a place in paradise for all who choose to follow the one true God. Be on guard, therefore, because he still has the ability to weave his way into our hearts – to tempt, to, entangle, to corrupt, to deceive, to lead us on a desperate path to hell.

The wind and winter’s chill worm through the thickness of inner earth, Weaving in and out of the good spaces.
Infecting, infesting, destroying, They can emerge as a thing of beauty,
But soon overtake and enshroud the original brilliance,
They take advantage of life around them,
Sucking their own life from others,
Sapping,
Suffocating,
Choking,
Strangling,
Cutting off all defense,

The garden, the farmer’s field, the soul of man, The trap has been set.
Our foolishness pulls us in, but something grasps tightly,
With a fervency and tenacity our minds can’t comprehend.
Some call it instinct,
Some see it as their positive aura or conscience.
It is the touch of Jesus,
Pulling us, retrieving us, clinging with great strength
.

The hand of God won’t let go.
He has overpowered the devil.
He has done it all,
Because of His great love for us.
Hang on to Him for He will never leave you.

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.
