On January 1, 2025, my artist, my best friend, my soulmate and husband of 60 years, Paul Boecher went to be with his Savior. Over his lifetime he found time to talk with thousands of people. He was an encourager, inspirer, leader, businessman, outdoorsman, friend, faithful servant of God, son, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was actively involved in life and left an impression wherever he went. I will be continuing my blog as he wished I would. For the time being I will be displaying some of his amazing artwork, which often inspired my words of poetry. I will miss him terribly, but I know that he is now walking the streets of heaven in a perfect, healthy body and I will again see him. At this time, we are planning to celebrate his life in the spring. Further information on this will follow.
ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER
You are my Lord and King. Without you I am lost.
My praise to you I bring, for paying the great cost.
You died upon the cross to save a wretch like me.
You suffered pain and loss upon that dreadful tree,
You gave your life for me, and others who believe.
You died to set me free. Your truth I’ll never leave.
Help me to mirror you; to walk within your light;
To share all that you do – your power and your might.
You’ve given me your Word – a manual for my life.
With it I now have heard the answers for my strife.
Prepare my heart for you. Let me your servant be.
May everything I do reflect your love for me.

You are in my prayers. He has lived an amazing life as well as you. I am so grateful that you will continue to write and share your thoughts. I am glad you let your fellow writers know and yes, he is in a peaceful, exuberant place watching over all of us. I have always believed that.

Kathy please accept our condolences at this time, from my wife and I. Praying for you – the scripture comes to mind – Heb. 12/2 –
looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Your husband’s ‘looking’ has translated Him that bit further than the rest of us. May you too receive the strength you need as you steady your gaze.
Love to all the family

Atimetoshare.me, I’m so sorry that you’ve lost your groom. Sounds like he was a wonderful mate. Although I don’t know you personally, I feel, as with many of my cyber friends, that the words you share give me an opportunity to glean a lot about you. You impress me as a person who is most interested in all that Christ has to offer, and that the incorporation of the character of Him in your life is paramount.
I’m glad you will continue to post. May your Christ-centered messages be a blessing to many. G
God bless you…

Thank you so much for you words of affirmation. Paul’s art was an expression of his love for his Creator. I will miss him, but am constantly aware of his talent and want everyone to share in it.

Dearest Kathy, Almost five years, June 1, I have been blessed to know our Father and His Son, given to us as the fulfillment of all life, even to overflowing when we lose those most precious to us. “I am not alone. My Father is with me” were Jesus’ words for us even as He knew our Father in His loneliest time. He has betrothed us to His Son, to be one with them even as they are one for eternity with all His people. Though our earthly family may leave us, He will never leave us, nor forsake us. I pray you know the power of His presence more and more as He draws you closer to Him. Love, prayers, and blessings, as you continue to be a witness of Him. Fran

It is a strange thing, but we are supposed to comfort each other, but where are the words?
I think the Bible first records how someone reacted to the loss of their partner when it records the care with which Abraham took to bury Sarah, his lady. He wanted her buried in the Land of Promise, to experience the resurrection where God had called them to be. So, he purchased a burial place for her. There is so little we can do, except wait.
We will see our loved ones again, but we must wait just as Abraham did for our Lord to fulfill His Word in the fullness of time.
