How do you harness the sun and capture the magnificence of its light?
Some have tried to manage the physical light that encompasses them,
Some struggle to bring illumination back into their lives by setting goals & dreaming dreams,
Some never find it,
Some are filled to the brim with it,
Some will continue to spend their lives searching for it,
God is the source,
He created light from darkness – it was His first creation,
Separating the night from day – setting time into place,
He controls the sun, the moon and stars,
He lights the world with His radiance,
When the world seems so ugly and dark,
When it seems that nothing will ever be bright again,
When the darkness of sin has penetrated every aspect of our daily living,
Turn to the Creator,
His light shines brightly through His Word,
When we let Him, He shines through us,
Leading others to the flame of His truth,
Let your light shine.

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension.
I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog.
I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ.
My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

One thing all painters know is that in everything there is the struggle between dark and light. And expressive painters know that what ever our thoughts be they filled with light or with darkness set the mood of the work. In my writing I often go down a dark tunnel but at the end there is always Light! That is God winning the battle in me that I have to continually fight. I love your husbands paintings and the poetry you write with them.

Thanks❤️ I’m enjoying your poetry as well. I love the idea of a light at the end of the tunnel and try to put the positive in there somewhere. Having Jesus as my Savior has allowed that to happen for me.

Me too. He pulled me out from the bottom of a long dark well and rescues me whenever I peer too deep down there and am in danger of falling back in! lol

Thank you for your encouraging poem, Kathy. I do pray to be one who “leads others to the flame of His truth.” I’m thinking of a note I need to write to someone who’s very anxious right now and has no faith in God to rely on–that I know of. I pray my words might encourage her to seek God’s truth, including acceptance of Jesus as her Savior!

Amen. These verses and Paul’s artwork remind me of our Creator’s eternal handiwork. His light has led me through moments of darkness. What a blessing!
