“The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be.” Anne Frank
We hear and say these words often – “Don’t be afraid.” Easier said than done, right? When angels came to the shepherds on that first Christmas, the words carried amazement, joy, fear and a whole gamut of emotions. God tells us to be still and know that He has this. All throughout the Bible we hear words of reassurance to not be afraid.
We still hang on to the idea that we can handle our fears and anxiety. We put extra pressure on ourselves every time we think that way. We succumb to our weakness and fall. That’s when the real anxiety begins. We feel like a failure. The truth is, we can’t do this alone. We ARE afraid and we need someone to help us.
God’s love for us is never ending. Time with Him is well spent. He can carry any problem that comes to us. He can lead us through all difficulty, even when we resist Him. He answers our prayers for deliverance and guides us according to His perfect plan for us.
During this amazing season of promises fulfilled, let’s take time to reflect. Today is the last day of Advent. It’s been a time for us to think back and look forward. Tomorrow we will stand in awe, with the angels, and know what it’s like not to be afraid.
PRAISE GOD FOR GIVING US THE VICTORY – THANK HIM FOR THE GIFT OF HIS SON!
“God tells us to be still and know that He has this.” Perfect timing right now. Thanks.

It’s so easy and yet so difficult for us, isn’t it. Merry Christmas, Dawn!
