I’ll be back later today, after VBS, if I survive VBS!

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

Our new church is quite small so we only had 35 kids. They do one full day and serve the kids lunch. It was fun being with little ones again. We did a western theme and put on a little skit set around a camp fire with characters Crusty, Dusty, Musty, Rusty & Trusty. I survived! It was fun, but I was plum tuckered out after wearing my cowboy boots all day.

Well, it’s great they do it at all! This is by far the biggest thing we do all year. We do evenings, Monday through Friday. Between kids and helpers we will have a hundred people most nights. By Friday I will be beat down LOL

Our old church did it mornings all week and had about 100 kids. There were almost 25 helpers at ours. It’s a great way to reach out to the community and fun too❤️

Indeed it is. I usually dress up on some role for it. Seems it crept up on me this hear, so not really ready. I may pull something out, thought.

We can all be useful in some way when it comes to VBS. I wrote a little skit about some cowboys sitting around the campfire telling stories. One of the stories was about a guy named Moe (AKA Moses) who rounded up a whole nation to make a clean getaway from the evil Pharoah. The cowboys were played by adults and the kids loved it. The theme of the day was “The Lord’s Roundup.) Actually I think the adults had as much fun as the kiddos.
