LIFE STORMS

PHOTO FROM PINTEREST – STORMS IN MINNESOTA TWO YEARS AGO

We’ve been in a short duration of what is to come in Minnesota. Storms pop up suddenly and often without warning. The skies can be brilliant blue with a faint whisper of clouds and immediately become filled with darkness and ominous cumulus formations above. Usually this leads to the month of tornadoes and extreme changes in temperature – which we’ve already experienced in April. In a way it’s like the patterns that fill our lives day by day. We can have bright sunshine and joy one day and be overrun with darkness and depression the next. We never know what will happen next. We can endure those storms by thanking God for placing these challenges in our walk. There will be storms – but they don’t have to defeat us.

Thank you, dear keeper of my soul, for giving me another day. Thanks for giving me opportunities to share your love with others. Thanks for your forgiveness each and every moment for things I have done and things I am about to do. Thank you for providing my sustenance for each day. Thanks for giving me a loving spouse and family. Thank you for allowing me the strength and endurance to carry me through. Thank you for loving me. Amen!

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

  1. Day before yesterday, we had a storm here in eastern New Mexico with wind gusts over 70 mph. When I walked outside to get the mail, I was almost blown off my feet. Today, we barely have a breeze. Darkness and depression, sunshine and joy… indeed, we never know what will happen next. I am so thankful that our Lord knows the future and He never leaves our side. Praise God!

Storms are frightening whether they are in the wind or in our living, but it’s good to know God will never leave us no matter what. He walks through each one with us.

What a beautiful post of gratitude dear Kathy, in the midst of life storms. I have to remain grateful. Even when the storms try to take over. I’m so thankful for God, faith, and family like you. Much love and hugs. 💛💕❤️🤗

Knowing that God is in control of all of it, is not only liberating, but it gives a feeling of great security. He walks with us through the storms as well as the good times. Love you my sweet friend

Beautiful. It’s the only truth I lean on. Speaking of storms, it’s stormy here today with a chance of severe while sleeping. God is protecting us and my worst fear is flooding ~but HE’s got us! Love you too! 💛❤️

  4. Our own lives will face storms right alongside nature’s rocky journey. Central Ohio receives its share of turbulent thunderstorms, but thankfully we seldom meet up with a tornado.
