WHAT’S THAT NOISE?

POETRY BY KATHY BOECHER©

‘Twas the month before Christmas and all through the house,

The only thing stirring was a cold, little mouse,

He thought he’d sneak in while the getting was good,

He found a warm corner in the neighborhood,

The house it was fancy and the space was ginormous,

Each room beckoned him, but their cat was enormous,

Instead he decided to sleep in the attic

Along came a friend who was quite acrobatic,

Who swung through the air with the greatest of ease,

He traversed the ceiling, as quick as a breeze,

At last they found refuge in the insulation,

But suddenly felt a tumultuous vibration,

They thought it was Santa on top of the roof,

They got so excited, but remained quite aloof,

They peeked out the window and what did they see,

It was simply the owner, decorating the tree.

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

This is so cute and brilliant! I love it! I love the creativity that Christmas season can bring. I’ve been feeling a little “stumped” in my writing. But there are so many things on my mind. I have a possible health issue, in addition to those things that I battle (which are NOTHING compared to what some battle so less I don’t complain!), my Father has a crucial MRI next Tuesday (a lesion on his liver), and so many others struggling with this season,…it’s easy to get “down”. But Kathy, I’m opening my heart to the Lord and giving him everything–my care, my concern, my slight depression,…it’s all going to be fine. It is well with my soul because I know HIM. And what would be faith if I “lose it” in circumstance? Love and hugs my dear friend. May the peace of God, and his protection, surround you and Paul and your family. 🤍

I have learned so much from my time in isolation. I haven’t had the energy to decorate this year. I have put up my Charlie Brown tree but that’s it. No presents have been purchased. I’m finally feeling better and God is amazingly good. I will pray for your dad and for your health issue as well. We’re all on the same road to our final destination. This time of year the focus needs to return to that child in a manger. Stay well and many hugs surround you.
