ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER
The road is full of stumbling blocks, we see them every day,
Our path is filled with hiccups which toughen up the way,
Our journey to eternity is filled with indecision,
We struggle through all daily tasks, requiring supervision,
The signs that lead to nowhere, just clutter up our walk,
We can’t decide which way to go, we simply talk the talk,
But when we walk with Jesus, our road is made quite clear,
The things that seemed impossible, lose all their haunting fear,
Our daily walk is easy when we simply trust in Him,
We’ll reach our destination and in the end we win!
Yesterday we took our final autumn drive to search for God’s beauty filled landscape. He did not disappoint. The colors were brilliant crimson, sparkling gold and deep russet – with an underpainting of greens and a glorious sky of blue. All the colors combined to create a beautiful masterpiece. As we drove through a nature preserve, I couldn’t help notice how the trumpeter swans always seem to be in pairs. Their long necks come together to create a perfectly shaped heart. Apparently these birds mate for life. God not only creates beautiful backgrounds, but creatures that are necessary to complete the picture.
Just beautiful!

Ever since I’ve taken my Bible study class at the University of Sioux Falls, I’ve enjoyed my 2nd chance at having a deeper connection with God. Life is so simple and wonderful when we cherish our time with Him and all of our brothers and sisters who also follow faithfully in-tow. Thank you for sharing this wonderful poem! I hope you have a good weekend as well!

Thanks for stopping by, Leo. Getting deeper into God’s Word is a great habit to get into. His love is amazing and his grace and mercy endure forever. Keep digging😊

Kathy, It is so good to see you my precious friend. What a beautiful drive the two of you had. I love the colors and promise of Fall. And Paul’s painting captures the closeness of these amazing mates; just like you two! I’m sorry I haven’t been here in a while. I had friends from Arkansas in this weekend and with the book, it seems I’m hit and miss on being able to read all my friends. And you are always such an encouragement to me. Always. I pray you and Paul stay safe and blessed. Love, blessings, and hugs from SW Missouri-Karla

Thanks for your prayers. We did have a wonderful drive and I’m afraid we’re heading for winter all too soon. In the meantime God has blessed us with an amazing autumn.

You’re so welcome. I’m sure you’ll see winter before me. I’m so happy your Autumn is amazing. I had friends from Arkansas here over the weekend to hike. We will have cool and wet weather for a few days. But I’m thankful anyway. It’s a busy time with my new book and I’m learning so much. Take care precious lady. ❤️

Kathy, your poetry shares rich inspiration. Life definitely works better when we realize that we really need each other. Paul’s painting of the swans will remind me as well.

There’s so much beauty in nature. Especially the creatures God has created for our pleasure and learning.
