There’s no doubt about it. We live in a crummy world. We can choose to make a difference, to change things, to sit around and fret about it, to hide ourselves from it or we can rid ourselves of the anxiety that makes it burn, by turning it over to God.
That last suggestion is probably the most difficult for us to handle. Whether we believe in God or we’ve not yet met Him, we think that we can push through everything on our own. We struggle and painstakingly become deeper engulfed in the huge pity party we create for ourselves. At that point, we might think we need intercession, but our stubborn human nature keeps us from enjoying the benefits He promises when we trust Him completely.
All the ugliness of this world was not caused by God. He created a perfect environment – one free SIN. The moment God’s command was broken, the perfect communion between Him and His creation was destroyed. The circle of trust was broken. Sin entered and decay took over. God expected perfection of mankind, but man thought he knew better. Through those original parents, we’ve inherited sin which will live with us until our death.
Our sins were then taken to the cross and paid for by the perfect lamb of God, Jesus. Our sinful nature remains but through Him, we are assured of eternal life after death where we will once enjoy perfect communion with our Lord.
In the meantime, we still have an obligation to obey while we’re alive – to trust God’s promises, search His scriptures for His inerrant truth and share that wonderful news with others.
The choices we make are important

I had a difficult time last week in “turning a situation over” to God. But I did it. Felt like Abraham about to sacrifice Isaac. But what do you know. It is working out without me. 😀

It’s so hard for us to do that when it should really be the first thing we do. Easier said than done I guess. Glad it worked out for you.🥰
