WINTER STORM – AGAIN!

winter

ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER©

It seems that just a day ago, small buds of green appeared,

The signs of spring were everywhere, then quickly disappeared,

A winter storm with lots of snow came roaring into town,

The cloak of white is beautiful, but it’s still upside down.

When we are struggling in our sin, when death is at our door,

We hope to go with hearts washed clean, to where we sin no more,

The whiteness of our Father’s love, has washed away all sin,

He’s opened the gates to heaven so we can enter in.

We will endure the storms of life, they come and go each day,

Like unexpected winter storms, they soon will melt away,

The freshness of new life returns when we can see the Son,

The perfect lamb of God came forth and died for everyone.

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

I thought you would write about what I was watching on TV yesterday.

    Stay warm.

  2. So beautiful! I love the poem and the art.

Two days ago, our official high temperature was 92. Yesterday our high was 84. Then the second bomb cyclone hit. Right now it’s just 1 degree above freezing.

I’m calling this season “Wringer.” That’s Spring, with Winter at both ends.

We never got that warm. It’s nice to know we aren’t alone in our disappointment. This happens to us every year, yet we always seem surprised by it. Thanks for your encouragement.
