It’s a time of preparation – these next few days and weeks.  Over time the preparation was being made for a Savior – One who would live among us and bring salvation to a sin sick world.  It was the beginning of the greatest adventure story told.  It would carry down through the ages and remains today as our personal legacy to pass on to future generations.  There are days when all seems to be lost.  We think our world will never recover from the sin which constantly caresses it.  There is hope for those who wait.  Let’s open our hearts to the message of our Savior’s birth and the beginning of our salvation.

When it seems that all is gone and the days stretch on too long,

There is hope and consolation in God’s perfect preservation,

He provides for every need, even when there’s naught to feed,

When miracles are required, He will give with love inspired,

His perfection does abound in creation all around,

Lift your hands to Him in prayer, He will calm your every care,

Maybe not as you expected, but in ways that He’s directed,

He will soothe your troubled mind, give you peace in all you find,

He will lift you to His breast, calming fears through every test,

He will breathe new life in you, when the present one is through,

As He made Himself to be known for our dying, breathless groan,

A second Adam He became, so to destroy our sin to shame,

Born in poverty without sin, the Son of God would now begin,

The greatest story ever told, fulfilling prophesy of old,

Living life in a perfect way, following His Father’s plan each day,

He took our sin on His shoulders, making songs come out of boulders,

Then He conquered all death and sin, so in heaven we could join Him,

We wait for His second coming with songs that will keep us humming,

Praising Him with all of our hearts, perceiving this is where it starts.

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

Thank you for summing up the Advent season. Almost everyone gets it wrong. We are not anticipating a baby. We are anticipating the return of a risen Savior.
