As darkness fills the streets this day,

Think of the price it cost to pay,

For freedom to express your dreams,

To voice our thoughts without extremes,

To thank the ones who fought so hard,

Who came back wounded, hurt and scarred,

They sacrificed the greater good,

Their place in battle strongly stood,

They let their light so strongly burn,

Remember what for us they earned,

The freedom to defend our cause,

The peace we’ve gained through death and loss,

Reflections of the Son of God,

Their actions let us now applaud.

My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on
